Director Rajkumar Gupta gave an update on Raid-2: said- shooting is over, now editing is on; it was fun working with Ajay Devgan again

Rajkumar Gupta's web series Pill was released last month, which was well received. Now he will soon return with the most awaited film Raid-2. Its first part had collected more than Rs 100 crore. In an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar, Rajkumar Gupta talked about his upcoming film Raid-2, his experience of working with Ajay Devgan and his web show Pill.

Question: How was Ajay cast in the film Raid and what was the reaction of the people in the industry after its success?
answer- Ajay sir was associated with the film ever since the script came to me. The script came to me from the producer of the film. After this we chose Saurabh sir for the role of the villain. The rest of the people also came together and together we made a good film. People also liked this film very much. I was very happy to see all this. I was lucky that this film entered the 100 crore club.

Before Raid, Aamir Khan and No One Killed Jessica were also successful films. This is why Raid was not my first hit film. It was just that it entered the 100 crore club and it was a film with a big star cast. Because of this, people in the industry welcomed me differently. However, as a filmmaker, after telling one story, I start preparing for the next story. This industry is such that when people become successful, it puts them on a very high position from where a person is not able to face the truth. I want to move ahead of all this.

Question- Tell us about the film Raid 2?
answer- The film is currently in the editing stage. We finished shooting the film 2-3 months ago. I am currently busy editing the film. We will talk about it in detail when the film is released. I hope that when this film is released, it gets a lot of love from the audience. The story is connected to the first part. Ajay sir is also there. I cannot tell more than this. Our effort is to make the film very good. The rest will be the decision of the public.

Question- How was the experience of working with Ajay Devgan?
answer– Ajay Sir is a seasoned actor. He is a big star. This is my second film with him. It is always a pleasure to work with him. This time too I had a lot of fun shooting. I hope to work with him in the future too.

Question: What was the feedback regarding the Series Pill and how did you implement it?
answer– This is a series based on the pharmaceutical industry. The public and critics appreciated it a lot. I still get calls from people. People are able to connect with this topic. This series stars Ritesh Deshmukh and Pawan Malhotra. I am happy that people appreciated the thought with which we made this series.

Question: Weren't you afraid that you might face opposition from the pharmaceutical industry?
answer- See, in real life there are many good pharmaceutical companies that make good medicines. There is a fictional element in our story. Our story shows what will be the impact if a pharmaceutical company makes a bad medicine. In such a situation, why would good pharmaceutical companies oppose us.
