The India Alliance has called a meeting on June 1 to plan the next strategy. However, due to Trinamool Congress's refusal to attend this meeting, there has been a lot of confusion about the participation of this party in the India Alliance.
After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, Mamata Banerjee is thinking of keeping the option of which alliance to join for power open. On the one hand, Mamata Banerjee is acting in a dual role, showing that she is involved in the India Alliance, and on the other hand, she wants to stay four hands away from this alliance.
That is why Mamata Banerjee has shown her inability to attend the All India meeting, saying that she is busy with the Lok Sabha elections and the rescue work of the cyclone that hit the state. None of their representatives will participate in the meeting. Therefore, it has been seen that the Congress and other constituent parties do not feel confident about Mamata Banerjee's participation in the India Alliance.
A few days ago, West Bengal Congress leader Adhiraranjan Chaudhary had stated that he did not trust Mamata Banerjee to form an alliance with the Trinamool Congress. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge had said that Chowdhury had no right to take a decision about forming a front, which caused a controversy. After this controversy, Kharge summed it up and said that Chaudhary is a responsible leader.
Mamata Banerjee joined BJP's NDA alliance in 1999. He also held the post of Union Railway Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government. In 2001, after breaking away from the NDA, he contested the West Bengal assembly elections in alliance with the Congress. However, after that she joined NDA again in 2003. Vajpayee's cabinet included his colleague Sudeep Banerjee. Even though Mamata Banerjee is saying that she is in the India Alliance, the Congress is starting to think that she may go back to the NDA Alliance for power.
