Megastar Chiranjeevi's name has been included in the Guinness World Record. He received this honor for performing 24 thousand dance moves in 537 songs of 156 films in a career of 45 years. Actor Aamir Khan honored him with this award. After giving the award, Aamir Khan also hugged Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi is active in acting since 1979
Chiranjeevi started his film career in 1979 with the film Pundahirallu. However, Mana Voori Pandavulu, directed by Bapu, was his first release. He started playing lead roles with a hit film like 'Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya' released in 1982. The film Khaidi released in 1983 made Chiranjeevi a big superstar overnight. Since then, Chiranjeevi got the tag of Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi's political journey Apart from films, Chiranjeevi also tried his hand in politics. In 2008, he started a political party Praja Rajyam Party in Andhra Pradesh. At the time of party launch, he said that social justice is the main agenda of his party. In the 2009 general election, the party won 18 seats out of 294 seats in Andhra Pradesh Assembly. On 6 February 2011, Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party merged with the Indian National Congress. After this merger, he took oath as Rajya Sabha member on 28 October 2012. He was made the Tourism Minister.
In 2014, he campaigned for the party in the Andhra Pradesh parliamentary and assembly elections. However, he refused to contest the elections. All the candidates of his party were defeated in this election. After this election, Chiranjeevi did not attend any parliamentary meeting. His term as a Rajya Sabha member ended in April 2018. Since then, he is not active in politics.
