Leaders Online Desk: The Supreme Court on Monday issued a notice to the Election Commission on a petition seeking counting of all Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) paper slips in the elections.
Only five randomly selected Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are verified in each assembly constituency. This petition was filed against this. A bench of Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta issued a notice to the Election Commission and granted relief to a petition filed by lawyer and activist Arun Kumar Aggarwal.
