Those who say that time is over, nothing can happen in life now. Those who blame their failures on luck need to learn from the life of actor Boman Irani.

Boman Irani made his film debut at the age of 44. There is no fixed time to start any work. Boman proved this. Today Boman is celebrating his 65th birthday. Even though Boman started late, today he is counted among the prominent actors.

Boman has worked in more than 100 films in his career. From Dr. Asthana of Munnabhai MBBS to Veeru Sahastrabuddhe i.e. Virus of 3 Idiots. These two roles played by Boman are the highlights of his career.

A year before the shooting of Munnabhai MBBS, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra had given a check of Rs 2 lakh to Boman. He said that I will do a film next year, you will work in it, so keep this money. Vidhu knew that if Boman entered films, it would be difficult for him to get dates.

Some interesting stories related to the life of Boman Irani, born on 2 December 1959..

Used to do photography 5 days a week and theater 2 days. Just before coming into films, Boman used to do photography. He used to do photography 5 days a week, while doing theater on two days i.e. Saturday and Sunday. Somehow he felt like getting into acting. Although he doubted his ability.

In an old interview given to Rajya Sabha TV, Boman had said, 'At the age of 35, I worked in two-three English plays. All those plays became the most famous in the history of English theatre. Many big producers and directors used to come to watch my play. He also offered me to appear in films. I even rejected some films in the initial stages. I didn't want to give up my photography career.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's attention fell on a short film of Boman, then luck changed Even though Boman was shying away from appearing in films, luck was knocking his door again and again. Boman would have been around 42 years old when he got the opportunity to work in a short film. This time he worked in that film without any mind.

Look at the game of fate, veteran filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra saw that short film from somewhere. He called Boman and offered him the film. There was 14 days of shooting. Boman had come thinking that it is only a matter of 14 days, let's do it. However, in those 14 days, Boman's life changed completely. That film was Munnabhai MBBS. He became a sensation overnight. The audience liked the banter between Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani in the film.

He also ran a home bakery and sold chips there. We have already told that before coming into films, Boman used to do photography, although photography was not his first profession. Earlier he used to run his own bakery. His bakery mainly made potato chips. He used to filter chips in a brick kiln, pack them and sell them in his shop. Bowman ran the bakery for almost 12 years. There was not much income from this bakery, only the household expenses were covered.

Mother fell ill, so I was forced to take over the bakery. Running a home bakery was not a hobby, it was a compulsion. Actually his mother used to run this bakery. There was no father, so mother used to support the family through bakery. Suddenly she started falling ill. Boman was then forced to take over the bakery.

Also worked as a waiter and bar tender in Taj Hotel. Before taking over the bakery, Boman worked as a waiter in Mumbai's famous Taj Hotel. Between 1979 and 1980, he worked as room service, waiter and bar tender.

Boman's parents wanted their son to become a lawyer or doctor. This was not possible because Boman was never good in studies. Growing up, it was a challenge to earn money, so he started working as a waiter at an early age.

Boman also did a 2-year waiter course from a college in Mumbai.

Boman is strictly against the ideology of 'virus' in real life Boman played the role of an arrogant and rude college dean in the film 3 Idiots. His character was called Virus in the film. The virus always insists that children should do whatever their parents want, even if their dreams have to be crushed in the process. In real life, Boman is completely against this mentality of his character Virus.

He had said in an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, 'If a child is not getting good marks, it does not mean that he does not know anything. Maybe his interest is in some other field. Sachin Tendulkar's interest was in cricket, if he was made to do some other work then perhaps he would not have been able to do the best.

In the film 3 Idiots, Boman played an iconic character which is still in people's minds.

Never seen a genius mind like Boman Irani – Vivaan Shah Actor Vivaan Shah, who worked with Boman Irani in the film Happy New Year, shared some things. He said, 'I think that in the history of Indian cinema, there will be only a few select people whose mind works at a different level. Boman Irani is one of them. I have never seen a genius like him. He acts like an athlete in front of the camera.

I would like to compare him with the famous Hollywood actor Jack Nicholson (three-time Oscar winner). The spark and shine that was there in Jack Nicholson, I see in Boman sir.

Boman is also a very good gamer Vivaan told that Boman is also a very good gamer. Vivaan said, 'We used to play PlayStation at home. I used to defeat his team again and again. He and I were on the same team. He played brilliantly, while I played very poorly. Because of me they used to lose. We used to have a lot of tu-tu, main-main.
