Leaders Online Desk: Former Union Minister and sitting BJP MP Harsh Vardhan announced his decision to quit politics today (3rd). It came a day after the BJP announced its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, which did not include his name.
Announcing his decision to retire from politics, Vardhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party workers, recalling his achievements in his “glorious three-year electoral career”.
“After a illustrious electoral career of thirty years, during which I contested and won all the five assembly and two parliamentary elections, holding many prestigious positions in the party organization in the state and central governments, I will now be away from it all.
