In this time's Struggle Story, we have included the story of actor Amit Sial. This is the same Amit Sial who played the role of Naveen Kumar in the series Maharani, Brijesh Bhan in Jamtara and Ram Sharan Maurya in Mirzapur. He played the role of Lallan Sudhir in Ajay Devgan's film Raid.

Amit reached the Dainik Bhaskar office in Mumbai at 2 pm. After some formalities, he started telling the story of his struggle. He told that to prove himself in front of his parents, he had to go to Australia, where he sometimes drove a taxi and sometimes washed utensils.

He said- I do not consider these tasks small, as a result of which I am climbing the ladder of success one by one.

Read Amit Sial's story in his own words…

To escape the taunts of parents, he planned to go to Australia
Amit went to Australia at the age of 20-21, where he did small jobs along with his studies. About this, he says, 'Once I got involved in theatre, I could not distance myself from it. I went to Delhi and did a course in Barry John's acting school for some time.

I was losing interest in studies. Seeing my condition, my parents started getting scared. Every day they would just say- son, focus on your studies, but I was not able to think of anything other than acting.

I had a friend at that time. His condition was also the same as mine. We both were suffering from taunts from our families. At that time, the way for student visas was open in Australia. After knowing about this, my friend and I thought of a plan. We planned that we will go to Australia, study and work there, so that our family members will be convinced that we are serious about our future.

We told this to our family members one by one. At first, my father refused outright, but I still kept crying. Finally, he had to agree, but my friend failed to convince his family.

In this way, after getting the consent of the family, I headed towards Australia.

Sometimes he washed dishes and sometimes he drove a taxi in Australia
Amit further says, 'I got the real lesson of life after reaching Australia. I had already planned that I would work there as well as study. As soon as I reached there, I got a job of washing dishes in a hotel. I used to get 35 dollars for 6 hours of work and food was also provided.

I never underestimated any work, neither did my family. Apart from washing dishes there, I also drove a taxi and worked as a door-to-door salesman.

Living in a country like Australia, I could not take help from my parents for my living. That is why I took the responsibility of doing all these works on my own.

Also drove a taxi with Randeep Hooda
When Amit was living in Australia, he met actor Randeep Hooda, who later became his very good friend. Talking about his friendship with Randeep, Amit says, 'This happened when I was 21 years old. One day Randeep came to my place in Australia. I met him because of a common friend. We became friends after the first meeting.

Whenever Randeep and I met, we would only talk about films. We have even driven a taxi together. Randeep even did modelling there.

He came back to Delhi in 2001, did not get work so he started selling shoes

Amit returned to India in 2001. Somehow it was Randeep who motivated Amit to return to India. Regarding this, Amit said, 'After living in Australia for some time, Randeep had decided to return to India and work in the acting field. I also followed in his footsteps.

I came straight to Delhi from Australia. I applied for jobs at many places in Delhi, but due to recession I did not get work anywhere. Many days passed without work. Tired and exhausted, I had to return to Kanpur. I thought I would help my father in the shoe business, but I could not get along with him. Ultimately I had to go back to Delhi.

There I met some friends from theatre. Those friends inspired me to join theatre again. Once again my mind turned towards acting. I started feeling that if I don't act, I will die.

At this time I had opened a Takeaway (a kind of restaurant). I thought that if I don't get work anywhere, I will not die of hunger.

The first film was released after 4 years
In the following conversation, Amit told about the first setback he faced in the film industry. He says, 'One day Randeep Hooda called me and offered me to work in the film D. I accepted his offer and came to Mumbai, but the film could not start on time.

At that time, director Tanuja Chandra was making a film. Randeep asked me to audition for this film as well. I was late on the day of the audition, due to which Tanuja ji got very angry. Anyway, I auditioned and was selected. I got 50 thousand rupees as signing amount for the film.

I was going to share the screen with actress Mahima Chaudhary in this film. I felt that my career would be set after doing this film. I became arrogant that my work is good and I did not have to struggle. Those who struggle, do not work. They just defame the industry.

As a result, I had to pay the price for this arrogance. This film took 4 years to release. After this, I had to start from zero again.

He was heartbroken when the release of his first film got delayed
Amit was devastated when his first film got delayed for a long time. He said, 'This time was very painful for me. I was getting angry with myself. I was scared whether anyone would support me at this time or not. One thing is absolutely true that a person cannot digest the success he gets all of a sudden. The same thing happened with me.

After supporting myself for some time, I once again started afresh with theatre. Along with this, I also kept doing small scenes in films, which helped me learn a lot.

Amit has worked more in OTT than films. He got his biggest success from the series Inside Edge. After this, he never looked back.

Ajay is going to do a film with Akshay and Madhavan

Amit also talked about his upcoming projects. He said, 'The film Raid 2 is going to be released in the coming time. I have worked in that too. Apart from this, there is a Dharma Production film with Akshay and Madhavan sir. Apart from this, there are 1-2 series as well.
