Ranbir Kapoor recently talked about his bonding with Alia Bhatt. The actor has told that he met Alia for the first time when she was 9 years old. He understood from the first time he saw Alia that this girl is special. Further, the actor talked about the initial phase of his relationship and told that he had lived in a live-in relationship with Alia before marriage.
Ranbir Kapoor, while talking about Alia in a recent interview with Nikhil Kamat, said, 'I consider myself very lucky that I am married to a person who is a very good friend of mine. She is very colourful. She is 11 years younger than me.'
'It is very funny that when I met Alia for the first time, she was 9 years old and I was 20 years old. We also had a photoshoot. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was making a film at that time, named Balika Vadhu. At that time I was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film Black. He wanted to make a film with me, for which a photoshoot of Alia and I took place. I still have those photos. I felt at that time that this person is special.
Ranbir further said, 'I like going on holidays with her and coming back home. Whenever I complain, she puts a lot of effort into it. She changes more for me than I change for her. Her tone is very loud. My father was also very loud. Growing up in such an environment, loud noises bother me. In such a situation, she tries to keep the volume low for me, whereas she is a girl who reacts a lot.'
The relationship started in 2018
Ranbir Kapoor has told in the interview that his and Alia's love story started in 2018. The actor said, “We started dating during the shooting of Brahmastra. We had to go to get training from the moment coach. Our romance started in the plane itself. We used to live together during Covid. At that time she also lived alone and so did I. So we started living together. Living together during Covid was the best time for me. We were together throughout the lockdown and we never got frustrated with each other. We used to play online games.”
Alia was with Rishi Kapoor during his treatment
Ranbir has told that when Rishi Kapoor was undergoing treatment in America, Alia used to stay with him all the time. The actor has told that many times Alia used to stay with him in the hospital.
