He also revealed that he had voted unanimously to close the local offices of Qatar-owned broadcaster Al Jazeera. Meanwhile, there was no immediate comment from Al Jazeera on the decision.
“My government has taken a unanimous decision,” Netanyahu said in a post on social media platform X. Al Jazeera, a provocative channel in Israel, will be shut down,”

An Al Jazeera correspondent said the order would affect the broadcaster's operations in Israel and East Jerusalem. However, this will not affect Al Jazeera's work in the Palestinian territories. Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the decision allows Israel to block the channel for up to 45 days.
Al Jazeera broadcasts bloody scenes of airstrikes and overcrowded hospitals. It also accuses Israel of committing genocide, which is constantly being accused by Israel.
