Kangana Sharma was born on 3 April 1989 in Delhi, but she is originally from Haryana.
'In 2019, I met Yogesh, whom I later married. However, even after meeting him several times, I did not want to marry him. There were two reasons for that. The first was that I was the only earning person in my house, my brother was very young. The second reason was that neither my mother's nor my sister's marriage went very well.
During the first 6 months of our meeting, Yogesh did not leave me alone at all. We were together 24 hours a day. I was not even able to spend time with my family. Sometimes he would take me on a trip abroad, sometimes to a religious place. Because of this I became very close to him.
They treated me as if I was an angel. Besides this, he also respected me a lot. This became the reason why I became more attached to him because I love respect more than love.
The family members also started liking these habits of Yogesh. Along with me, he also took care of his family members. Seeing all this, mother said that I should marry Yogesh because no one else can do this much for me except him. After all, one has to get married someday, so why not Yogesh. However, along with all this, mother had definitely said that I should check the background of Yogesh's family. But Yogesh never gave time for this.

She further says, 'All this was going on when Valentine's week came. Yogesh said that he wants to propose me in Indian wear. I was very happy to hear this because in today's environment which boy talks about proposing in Indian wear. After this she got me a lehenga from Manish Malhotra's showroom and bought a sherwani for herself. However, there was definitely a question in my mind that how are things suddenly going so well for me.
After all this, he took me to Bali and proposed me there in a chopper. Then when I looked down from the chopper, he had written all over the island – Will U Marry Me Kangana..
Seeing all this, I also became very happy and said yes to the marriage.
Then when we got down from the chopper, we saw that the wedding hall was also ready. He asked me to marry him immediately, but I refused. I did not want to marry without family members. Although he persuaded me a lot. As a result, I had to get married. Neither my family members nor theirs were there. My Kanyadaan was done by the mother of a travel agent.

When we returned home after marriage, my mother was very angry, but then she agreed. After this, we got married for the second time in front of the family. I became pregnant just two and a half months after this marriage. This was the time when the Corona epidemic was spread all over the country. I did not want to get pregnant in the initial phase of my career, but Yogesh wanted a child. He said that after I give birth to this child, whatever I want to do in the rest of my career, he will support me. This time also I accepted his advice.
During these 9 months of pregnancy, Yogesh kept me away from the family. Whoever comes to the house, they are not allowed to meet me. Because of this I became completely isolated in Mumbai. Even after all this, he did not introduce me to his family. They used to say that my mother is very dangerous. She will get you killed after knowing about the marriage.
When the time of delivery approached, Yogesh left me with my sister. After 9 months I gave birth to a son. When his mother came on the birth of my son, I was surprised to see her. After this gradually Yogesh also stopped meeting me.
After some time I came to know that he was already married, he was divorced. It also came to light that even after marrying me, he had many affairs. Hearing all this I broke down completely. I had forgotten to recognize myself. That time was no less than depression. Now our divorce case is going on, but Yogesh says that he will not divorce me.
This marriage has taken away everything from me. Due to marriage, I had no work from 2020 to 2022. In 2023 I made a comeback with Kapil Sharma. Now in future also I have to do something better for my child.

The shortage was such that one had to work in other people's fields.
Regarding her childhood days, Kangana said, 'I was born in Delhi. When I was 4 years old, the whole family settled in Bara Khurd, a small village in Haryana. There the whole family lived in a small dilapidated house. Although that house was also not ours. That was my uncle's house, he just gave us shelter.
After going there the situation went from bad to worse. Actually, during this time father met with an accident. After this, all the responsibilities of the house fell on my shoulders because I was the eldest. After this accident, father was never able to work. Even mother could not do anything. In such a situation, I had to do everything.
By working in other people's fields, I managed my household and also paid my school fees. Then when she went to college, she worked as a tutor to children. This would cover the college fees and cover the household expenses. I also worked as a receptionist for a few days.
This is why I still say that I had a very bad childhood. No one helped us in this bad time.
Worked in Delhi's call center to earn a living
Before joining films, Kangana also worked in a call center. Regarding this, he said, 'After some time, it was becoming difficult to meet the needs of the house and oneself through small jobs. In such a situation, I moved to Delhi in search of better work. Here I used to work in a call center. Initially, I used to get a salary of Rs 5000 per month here. Then after some time my salary became Rs 7000 per month.
At the beginning of her career, Kangana was seen in Punjabi singer Hardy Sandhu's song Yaar Na Miliya.
Joined modeling on friend's advice
Kangana never had any special interest in acting. She got into modeling at the request of a friend and joined films. Regarding this, she said, 'In the family I belong to, there was no one remotely associated with the film industry. Besides, even thinking about it was a crime. The thinking of the people of the village where I am from was very conservative. Although there has been improvement now, the situation is still not that good.
Somehow I reached Delhi from there. There was a friend in the call center where I worked in Delhi, who asked me to do modelling. She said- Your face is very nice, why don't you try modeling. Anyway, there is not much money in this job.
That friend further said- I also do modeling myself. I work here at night, then after sleeping for 4-5 hours in the morning, I finish my modeling assignments.
I also got excited after listening to all the words of my friend. I asked him how I could start this. She told that all new comers start their modeling career from an agency.
On the advice of a friend, I also started my modeling career from the same agency and kept progressing in it.
Had no money to shift to Mumbai, got first film Great Grand Masti
The dream of all the strugglers to become an actor is fulfilled only by going to Mumbai. To fulfill this dream, Kangana also moved towards Mayanagari Mumbai. Regarding this he said, 'I had heard different things about Mumbai. Because of this, I and a friend of mine decided that first we will stay in Mumbai for a few days, see the lifestyle there, and only then decide whether to shift there or not.
With the same friend I came to Mumbai for the first time in 2014. At that time both of us did not have enough money to stay in a hotel. In such a situation, we went to stay at a friend's house. Only a few days had passed while staying there when fights started between the friend and her husband. Seeing this, we also started feeling bad and our friend also asked us to leave from there. Eventually my friend and I returned back to Delhi.
Only a few days had passed when I got a call for the Miss Maxim Contest 2014 contest. I once again went to Mumbai for this. She was the second runner up in this contest and came back to Delhi.
A few days after this victory, I got an offer for the film Great Grand Masti and had to go to Mumbai once again. There I met film director Indra Kumar ji. He was very impressed by my conversation and he selected me in this film without any audition. After getting selected in this film, I shifted to Mumbai.
At the same time, after this film, I worked in Hardy Sandhu's song Yaar Na Miliya. Then after some time, I also got work in the TV show Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piya Ji.
From 2019 to 2023, Kangana was seen in 4 episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show.
Many times people from the industry made wrong demands.
Kangana told that many times people associated with the film industry have made wrong demands. He said, 'In this industry I have encountered some good people and also some bad people. Some people were such that as soon as they called they would directly say that they have been offered a film in which you will have some bold scenes. After this their demand fell to even lower levels. Many times they would go straight to the point of compromise.
I have faced these things more in South cinema than in Bollywood. There, when all the work-related matters were finalized, it was said that you have to please the director. Because of this, I don't know how many offers I have rejected.
Kangana told that after coming into the industry, she had a lot of problems regarding language. He used to face problems due to having Haryanvi touch. Also, she was not so adept in English, but with time she worked on this deficiency and today these things are better than before.
At the end of the conversation, Kangana talked about the upcoming projects. He said, 'At present I do not have any big project. Right now I am busy creating my identity again. I hope I get a better job soon.
