When singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh was 11 years old, he was sent to his maternal uncle's house in Ludhiana. Diljeet did not want to go to the city with uncle. He wanted to live with his parents on the village land itself. But no one asked him whether he wanted to go to Ludhiana or not, they just sent him. The result of this was that there was a distance between them and their parents, which is still there today.
Diljit himself shared all these things in Ranveer Allahabadi's podcast.
Diljit was born in 1984 in Punjab.
Diljit did not want to live with his maternal uncle
Talking about his childhood days, Diljit said- I was 11 years old, when I left my home and came to Ludhiana and started living with my maternal uncle. Because of this I was in a lot of trouble. No one took my consent in this matter. Uncle told the parents to send him with me. Without thinking anything, my parents sent me with them. Didn't even ask me once.
Didn't have my own mobile to talk
Diljit told that at that time there was not much craze for telephone also. Due to this, more distance came in the relationships. He said- We did not have a mobile at that time. Even if I had to call home or receive a call from my parents, we had to spend money for it. In such a situation, I started moving further away from my parents.
Diljit said- Parents don't even know where I studied from.
Diljit further said- I still respect my mother a lot. Father is a very good person. He never asked me anything. He didn't even ask which school I studied from. But I broke my relationship with him. Not just with them but with everyone.
Talking about work front, Diljit will be seen in the film Amar Singh Chamkila in the coming time. His opposite Parineeti Chopra will also be seen in this.
This film is based on the life of late Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila. The film will stream on Netflix on April 12.
