Leader Online Desk : Google 'Play Store' had decided to delete some apps including 'Jobs', '99 Acres'. The central government strongly objected to this decision. We made it clear that we will not take such a unilateral decision. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said while talking to 'PTI' that now Google has reactivated some Indian apps which were deleted from Play Store.
Why Google Play Store Deleted Apps?
There was no agreement on how much to charge for the respective app transactions. Google wanted to charge between 11 and 26 percent, but related companies opposed it. Even after this, Google had decided to delete some apps from its Play Store.
Center's strong objection, app re-implemented
The central government strongly objected to this. We will not allow apps to be deleted, he clarified. After the central government's intervention, apps like Naukri, 99 Acre, Naukri Golf, People Group's Matrimony etc. were seen running on the Play Store on Saturday afternoon.
Google will not allow apps to be deleted this way. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav expressed confidence while talking to 'PTI' that the decision we have taken will protect our start-ups.

Informing about this, Sanjeev Bikchandani, co-founder of InfoEdge said, “Many InfoEdge apps have been re-launched on the Google Play Store. We handled the crisis management well. The central government's intervention is welcome for the affected companies.”
After Google removed some of the government apps, there was a lot of criticism on social media. Some even described the company as a monopoly. Industry body Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) also condemned Google's move. Also requested to start deleted apps immediately.
