Famous fashion designer Rohit Bal (63) died of a heart attack on Friday. He was suffering from heart related diseases. Fashion Development Council of India (FDCI) President Sunil Sethi confirmed Bal's demise. Sethi said- He (Rohit) suffered a heart attack, Rohit was a legend, we are completely shaken right now.
He told that Rohit was undergoing treatment at Ashlok Hospital in Safdarjung Enclave. Dr. Alok Chopra was treating Bal. Rohit had a heart attack on Friday. Doctors tried their best for 2 hours to revive him, but Rohit could not be saved.
Rohit presented his collection 'Kainaat: A Bloom in the Universe' at the Lakme India Fashion Week at the Imperial Hotel in Delhi on October 13. This was his last show. Actress Ananya Panday was the show-stopper of the event and presented a rose to Rohit at the end of the show.
At the same time, many Bollywood celebrities have expressed grief over Rohit's demise. Rohit will be cremated at Lodhi Road crematorium in New Delhi on Saturday evening at 5 pm.
The show-stopper of Rohit's collection 'Kainaat: A Bloom in the Universe' was actress Ananya Panday.
Was admitted to hospital last year due to illness In December 2023, Rohit was admitted to the ICU in a private hospital in Gurugram due to heart related problem. After this he made a comeback in the beginning of 2024. The Lakme India Fashion Week held in Delhi in October was her last show.

Once called the master of India's fabric and fantasy by Time Magazine, Bal always held a part of his home Kashmir in his soul and his designs often reflected that beauty through motifs such as roses and lotuses.

I always did what I am and never did what everyone else was doing. I have a very strong and focused design philosophy. And I follow him. I believe that whatever you do with heart and soul will always be relevant. I am comfortable being classic, elegant and timeless. And it has contributed a lot to my brand and career as a designer.
Rohit was born in a Kashmiri Pandit family. Rohit Bal was born in Srinagar on 8 May 1961 in a Kashmiri Pandit family. He did his graduation in History from St. Stephen's College. Later his family shifted to Delhi. Here Rohit completed his further studies.
Rohit did a fashion course from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. After this, in 1986, he started his career in the fashion industry by establishing Orchid Overseas Private Limited with his brother.
