30 crore seized by 'ED' from house of servant of minister's secretary









Ranchi, news agency: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized over Rs 30 crore in cash from the house of a servant of a minister's secretary in Jharkhand. Amount counting is in progress for more than 12 hours.

Voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha is taking place on Tuesday (7th). On the eve of the polls, ED has raided several places in Jharkhand in connection with money laundering and seized huge amounts of cash. There were complaints of corruption in several schemes of the Rural Development Department in Jharkhand. In this background, 'ED' conducted raids under money laundering and seized the cash. The amount was found at the residence of Alam's personal secretary Sanjeev Lal's servant Jahangir.

ED has also seized cash along with jewellery. The counting of notes seized by the machine is going on. It has been broadcasted on TV channels that the counting of notes is going on. On this, Alam tried to shake his hand saying that he has no knowledge about this incident. He also mentioned that the place where the action took place and where the cash was being counted belonged to his secretary's servant.

Chief Engineer Virendra Ram is the main accused in this scam. He was arrested last year in connection with a 100 crore scam. It was pointed out that he had dealings with political leaders from his pen drive. He has been suspended from service. Raids were also conducted at places associated with Ram. Apart from this, the 'ED' also raided the residences and offices of political leaders.
