Leaders Online Desk : Womens T20 World Cup 2024 : The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule for the Women's T20 World Cup on Sunday. The tournament, which will be played from October 3 to October 20, has been organized in Bangladesh. A total of 10 teams will participate in this. Which are divided into two groups namely A and B. 23 matches including the final will be played in the tournament. Each team will have to play 4 matches each in the league round. The top-2 teams from the groups will qualify for the semi-finals. After that there will be a playoff between four teams.
All the matches in the tournament will be played in Dhaka and Sylhet. The semi-final matches will be held on October 17 and 18. The final will be played in Dhaka on October 20. Team India's group consists of Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Qualifier 1. South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Qualifier 2 teams have been placed in Group B.
The first match of the tournament will be played between England and South Africa. India's first match will be against New Zealand. India and New Zealand will face each other on October 4. On October 6, the grand match between India and Pakistan will take place. After this there will be a match between India and Qualifier-1. Australia will face India on October 13.

Group B: South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Qualifier Team-2
