BJP has recently announced its first list of 195 candidates. After this first list, more names have been discussed. Meanwhile, there is talk that Team India's fast bowler Mohammed Shami will enter the election arena. There is a possibility that BJP will give ticket to Shami in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
According to the media 'Aaj Tak', BJP is planning to field Mohammad Shami in the election. However, Shami has not yet announced any decision regarding this. But quoting sources it was said that Mohammad Shami will contest from West Bengal. BJP wants to field Shami from Basirhat Lok Sabha constituency in Bengal. Currently Nusrat Jahan of Trinamool Congress is the MP from this seat. Sandeshkhali area also falls in this Lok Sabha constituency. This is the same message channel, where a large number of women recently accused former TMC leader Shahjahan Shaikh and others of molestation. After several days of agitation, Shahjahan was recently arrested and handed over to the CBI.
