what is the matter
Liquor (liquor) traders who were granted licenses by the Delhi government under the Excise Duty Policy 2021-22 paid bribes for it. It is alleged that the licenses were also given to the liquor merchants favored by the Aam Aadmi Party. The Aam Aadmi Party has denied the allegations. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had scrapped the liquor policy due to irregularities and recommended a CBI probe. The ED had also registered a case on charges of alleged money laundering. On February 26, 2023, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Delhi Deputy Commissioner Manish Sisodia in this case.
