In an interview to Galata Plus, Akshay said, 'Rajiv was a good name so I just changed my name. It was not that any astrologer had advised me to change my name. When I changed my name, my father asked me, what is your problem? I told him that the hero's name in my first film was Akshay so I will keep this name for now.'
