Venugopal met National Front Committee President Mukul Wasnik in Delhi. Shiv Sena Thackeray group has announced its candidate for Sangli seat. Moreover, the crack at this place is still not resolved. On Wednesday morning, Uddhav Thackeray announced his candidates for seventeen seats. Chandrahar Patil's candidature was announced from Sangli. Shiv Sena announced unilateral candidature when there was already a dispute over Sangli seat in Mahavikas Aghadi. Because of this, Balasaheb Thorat from Congress, Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar also expressed displeasure.
As soon as the candidature of Chandrahar Patil was announced, Vishwajit Kadam reached Delhi and presented his grievances to the Congress leaders. Vishwajit Kadam also conveyed the issue of Sangli seat to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi. Vishwajit Kadam along with Vishal Patil, MLA Vikram Singh Sawant, Sangli City President Prithviraj Patil were present on this occasion.
After the meeting with Kharge, Kadam interacted with the media. Kadam said that we have met Kharge, Venugopal, Mukul Wasnik regarding Sangli. The sentiments of the workers in the district have been conveyed. From 1947 to 2014, the Congress party has contested the Sangli seat. The atmosphere of Sangli Lok Sabha is Congress-like. Therefore, we insist on nominating Vishal Patil from Sangli Lok Sabha.
