Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has talked about his film career. In an interview, he told that his first film in 2003 would have been 'Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar' and not 'Footpath' but the heroine of the film Amisha Patel refused to work with him, after which he was removed from the film.
In an interview to Lallantop, Imran said, 'My first film was 'Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar' in which Govinda was in the lead role. At that time I was doing an acting course in Roshan Taneja's school. During this time Mahesh Bhatt called me and said that Govinda is no longer a part of the film because he did not have dates. Will you work in this film? I have talked to Roshan Taneja. He told me that you are now ready to work in films, I became very nervous because from inside it seemed that I had no preparation.'

Imran further said, 'I was mentally preparing for another film which was going on the floor after six months. I told Bhatt sahab that I am not ready. Bhatt sahab said- No, you will never be ready, you should just throw yourself into this film now. I was not ready, on the other hand the heroine of the film Amisha also felt that I was immature as a hero.'
Ameesha had objections to my casting: Emraan
Imran told in the interview that Amisha thought that I would not be able to work well in the film. She had given a hit film through 'Kaho Naa Pyar Hai', so she wanted a good hero for the film 'Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar'. She wanted an experienced actor and I was a complete novice who had only done a one-month acting course. In such a situation, Amisha told Mahesh Bhatt, I don't think Imran is right for the film. I got very angry after hearing this. I told Bhatt sahab to give me a chance but things did not work out.
Imran's last film was 'Ae Mere Pyare Watan' in which he did a cameo.
Imran further said, 'I was very angry with Amisha because she got me removed from the film. I used to go to the set every day and sometimes even stared at her in anger. But today I feel that Amisha was absolutely right at that time. After not working in this film, I got Vishesh Films' film 'Footpath' which became my first film.'
