Went to Mumbai to become an actor, had to work in the gym: Now making films himself; Director Jagat Singh said – did anything to stay there – Jaipur News

Jaipur actor Jagat Singh has now become a director and writer. He has made the Bollywood film 'Crispy Rishtey'. It is being released on OTT. Jagat Singh told- In Bollywood films like Satyagraha, Jai Gangajal, Chakravyuh and Lipstick Under My Burkha.

,

He said- I have worked as a gym trainer in Mumbai. Worked very hard. Now the aim is to work for Rajasthan. The talent here has to be given a chance. This film will be released on Jio Cinema on October 18.

Jagat Singh has worked with Prakash Jha in many films.

Question: What kind of film is 'Crispy Rishtey'? Tell me about it?

Jagat Singh: 'Crispy Rishtey' is a family-oriented film. There are 15 songs in the film. It is releasing on 18th October. I hope you all like it.

Question: You have also collaborated with direction and writing in this film, you have been doing acting for the last many years, so what is going to be special in this?

Jagat Singh: When this story came to my mind, I felt like making a short film on it, but it grew and grew. First one song came, two songs came, then the story changed from 1 hour to 2 hours. The entire film took shape. The story was in my mind, so there was not much difficulty in directing. The story was written by me, I was already an actor, so according to me it was very easy. People say that it is very challenging to play all three roles simultaneously. If there is good infrastructure and good team. If you are a good producer like Sagar ji then it is possible. It was convenient. I have done this and I am going to do this in future also.

Jagat told that Shyam Kaushal had been observing me on the set. After that it was said that you will definitely become a director.

Question: It took 5 years to release this film. It must have been a time of great struggle, tell us about it?

Jagat Singh: It is difficult to do anything for the first time. There is a different kind of struggle in the film industry. Everyone knows that. Trying to make a name for yourself in such a big name and taking your work forward. This was very challenging in itself. Making the film of 15 songs last for 2 hours. Then Covid arrived in between. I experienced every possible obstacle. I faced him. Both Sagar and I have also fought against him. If it is discussed, an entire book can be written.

Question: Would like to know your journey to Jaipur, how did you reach Mumbai from Jaipur and start work?

Jagat Singh: 22 years ago, after passing out from college, I went to Mumbai to become a hero because I had worked in some serials in Jaipur. Felt like he had become a star. After going to Mumbai I faced the reality. Got good roles there, but found out we were nowhere. The story of the struggle that happened next is such that you don't even have to ask. Mold yourself (change according to the situation). Did all kinds of work there. Did small jobs to survive. Worked in theatre. I got support from famous film producer Prakash Jha.

Got work in films like Raajneeti, Chakravyuh, Jai Gangajal, Lipstick Under My Burkha. Gradually the experience kept increasing. After that came the turn of 'Crispy Rishtey'. When I felt that I was not getting the roles I wanted to do, I thought of making my own story and making a short film. By the grace of God, it has come in front of everyone today in the form of a complete commercial film. There have been a lot of struggles.

'Crispy Rishtey' has been shot in Jaipur and many districts of Rajasthan.

Question: You were also seen working as a gym trainer in Mumbai, how did you find films? Tell us about how you used to give auditions and how you progressed?

Jagat Singh: Don't give up, don't give up. Do or die. These were the three principles. If you want to survive in Mumbai then do whatever you have to do. Get a job in a call center, become a gym trainer, do anything that helps you stay there. I also did all kinds of work. The life of a gym trainer is very difficult. It starts at 4 in the morning, when it ends the life of an actor begins. When that ends, the life of a writer begins at night. Every role in my life has brought an experience. That's why I was able to make a film, in the future also when I think of some story, all the experiences that I have seen in my life come in handy for me.

Question: You have a special relationship with Prakash Jha. He has also given a lot of work. Explain in detail?

Jagat Singh: I have learned the most from Prakash Jha ji, although I have never officially assisted him in any film. It is said that a person learns a lot through association. I was lucky that I worked very close to him during Satyagraha. Similar support was found in Chakravyuh and Jai Gangajal also.

One day Vicky Kaushal's father and action director Shyam Kaushal observed me on the set. I was sitting on the monitor on the sets of Jai Gangaajal. Prakash ji had given me instructions for this. Shyam Kaushal said- This boy will become a direct in 2 years. Then I said to him, Paaji, did you say anything for me? Then he said that I said that you will definitely become a director, because I have just seen you doing similar work. When I was working as a direct, that thing clicked for me.

In 2015 I didn't think that I would make a film. It was because of Prakash ji that I was a part of such big films. I got a chance to observe, I went as an actor. I never used to waste my time sitting in the vanity or sitting in the hotel. I used to do my scene. Then I used to start observing whoever I got work in, whether it was the camera or the direction team. Maybe because of that some changes started coming in me.

Question: You believe that you have brought a key to Rajasthan, which is going to benefit the people here, how will this be possible?

Jagat Singh: I was just asked a question, what kind of opportunities have you brought? I said that now I have a key. We have started it by making this film. This will open further avenues. Will make the next film in Rajasthan, will use actors from here. I was repeatedly asked what are your plans regarding Rajasthani films. I always say that I will make a Rajasthani film and will give a chance to the local talent. I will take the story here forward, the government should also support.

Our Rajasthani cinema is backward compared to other regional cinemas. It is the duty of all of us to cooperate in bringing it forward. I will direct, act, produce here. Whatever begins, it has already begun. Have brought the film to the screen. The way forward will open from here, the second-third film will definitely be made here.

My upcoming film will be in the form of Chabuk Paan Bhandar, which I would like to make. He is a social satirist. This is a Rajasthan based story. Which I am going to shoot here. He is very close to my heart. Was thinking about it and preparing it for the last 5 years. There is a thought regarding spirituality and medical science. I am going to tell this. Although the title sounds a bit strange, but this is the fun of cinema.
