'Violence will not be tolerated during elections': P. Explanation of the Chief Election Commissioner in Bengal leader

At this time, Rajeev Kumar said that the Election Commission is going to launch an application called C Vigil to prevent violence during elections. C-VIGIL stands for Citizen Vigilance. The main objective of the Election Commission is to conduct transparent, fair and violence-free elections in the state. There is no room for fear or intimidation in elections. Biased attitude of bureaucrats will not be tolerated. He also mentioned that adequate amount of central force will also be deployed in the state.

Features of C-VIGIL App

Rajeev Kumar explained the features of C-VIGIL app. He said that if any kind of irregularities or violence is being prepared for the elections, action will be taken against the culprits within 100 minutes as soon as the users complain through the app. If any candidate has a criminal background, this app can identify the candidate and identify the criminal cases against him. Along with this, the candidate will have to publish advertisements in three newspapers regarding the criminal charges against him. He also said that political parties will also have to do this work through their websites and newspapers.

Some polling centers are responsible for the disabled and women

Only women will be appointed at some polling stations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The security personnel at those election centers will also be women. Similarly, some polling stations will be manned entirely by persons with disabilities. Rajeev Kumar also expressed the belief that an ideal will be created in the society that these people are not less than anyone.

The Election Commission team met the representatives of the political parties on Monday to review the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal. In this meeting, the BJP demanded from the Commission that only the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) should be deployed in the state during the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has said this is necessary for free and fair elections.
