Vidya was called 'unlucky'

Well, this is not the first time that Vidya has shared such things about filmmakers. Earlier, he had told in an interview that initially he had signed some Malayalam films but the director had removed him from the film calling it inauspicious.

When his parents met the director he said, 'Does your daughter (Vidya) look like a heroine? I have shown his horoscope, he is unlucky.

In this way, Vidya was labeled as wretched and was removed from 12 films. In the beginning, Vidya was not bothered by these things, but gradually she also started getting devastated by these rejections.

Got recognition from the film 'Parineeta'

After many failed attempts, Vidya started her acting career in 2003 with the Bengali film 'Bhalo Theko'. After seeing her excellent performance in this film, director Pradeep Sarkar asked her to audition for the film 'Parineeta'.

The film's producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra was looking for an experienced actress for this film, but later he agreed after seeing Vidya's dedication. She was given the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her very first film.

After this, Vidya's career gained momentum and today she is one of the most talented actresses in the industry.
