Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film 12TH Fail completes silver jubilee in theatres. His film ran in theaters for several weeks. The situation was such that Vidhu Vinod Chopra himself had to call the theater people asking them not to forcefully run the film.
Theater owners said that there was no need to remove the film as the film was still doing good business. Vidhu said that in today's time, completing the silver jubilee of any film is a big thing in itself. After the tremendous success of the film, the film's director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has talked to Dainik Bhaskar.
Vidhu also gave a big update regarding Munnabhai-3 during the interview. He said that its writing is going on, the film will be made 100%.
Question- 12th failure teaches us that only the one who did not fight is defeated. The silver jubilee of the film was completed. What will you say?
answer- Let me tell you something interesting. At 18 weeks I called the PVR people. I told him to remove the film now, why are you forcing it to play. He said that sir, not even a single show is being run forcibly. People are coming to watch the film, that is why we are running it.
I was both happy and surprised to hear this. In today's times, no film completes its silver jubilee. You also see for how many weeks the film has been running on OTT.
There was a lot of discussion about the film among the common people also. People of small towns also seemed quite affected. What is your opinion on this?
answer- One day someone sent me a video. In that video a person is on dialysis and people around him were talking about 12th failure. Even the patient and the ward boy of the hospital were talking about the film. It feels great to see and hear all this.
This slogan 'Will not give up' is inspiring not only the common man but also the celebs. I saw this line written in the bio of an actor. What would you say on this?
answer- The film has reached this far because of God's grace and His kindness. I never thought that the film would have such a long run. I am currently working on a film, whose title is Restart from Zero. This film will also inspire you a lot.
I think celebrities should understand their responsibilities. I am a film maker, my endeavor should be to give some message to the society through my films. Celebrities should understand that their words are listened to a lot. People follow them, so they must think once before saying or showing anything.
Vikrant Massey played the role of IPS Manoj Sharma in the film.
12TH FAIL was such a big hit. Whose praise did you remember?
answer- Not a compliment, but I remembered one thing about Vikrant Massey during the shoot. Around 5 thousand people were present there during the shooting. I was handling them. Meanwhile the collar of my shirt rose up. Seeing me in this look, Vikrant said that it seems that today after many years the lion has come out.
Apart from this, when I was editing the film, producer Yogesh Ishwar said what a bad edit I have done. Looks like you have forgotten editing. However, he was very happy after the release of the film. Now I laugh just thinking about them.

It is heard that the film is ready to be released in China also?
answer- It may not sound like it, but it is true. The film will be shot in China in July. Apart from this, there is a possibility of release of the film in Japan and Korea.
