Vicky Kaushal spoke on his father's struggle: He wanted to commit suicide due to unemployment, had to work as a sweeper after completing MA in English Literature

Vicky Kaushal's film 'Bad News' is releasing in theatres on July 19. During the promotion of this film, the actor talked about his father Shyam Kaushal's struggling days and said that he was upset with unemployment and wanted to commit suicide.

Vicky Kaushal's father Shyam Kaushal has been a big action director in Bollywood. He has done many big films. Recently, during an interview, the actor recalled his father's struggling days and said- My grandfather had a grocery shop in Punjab. Apart from this shop, we had nothing else. Our financial condition was not good, due to which my father thought of committing suicide.

In an interview given to Raj Shamani, Vicky Kaushal said- Papa has done MA in English Literature. Despite this, he did not have any job at that time. He was getting very upset. One day he was sitting with his friends and drinking. In an intoxicated state, he talked about committing suicide. My grandfather got scared and sent Papa to Mumbai.

Vicky Kaushal further said- Even after coming to Mumbai, Papa had to struggle a lot. Here he had to work as a sweeper. He knew that no one in the village would know about this work. So he did that work. He had to struggle a lot. There is no guarantee of work in the industry. So when I got a job, my family was very happy. But I knew that I cannot do a regular job, because if I did a job, I would not be happy.

Vicky Kaushal's film 'Bad News' is releasing in theatres tomorrow i.e. on 19th July, Friday. Directed by Anand Tiwari, this film is produced by Karan Johar. Apart from Vicky Kaushal, the film also stars Tripti Dimri, Amy Virk, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in important roles.
