Vicky Kaushal worked as an assistant director in the film Gangs of Wasseypur. All the illegal sand mining scenes shown in the film were shot on real locations.

Regarding this, Vicky said in a recent interview that one day while shooting at these places, many people had gathered to kill him. Somehow he saved his life and ran away.

While talking to comedian Tanmay Bhatt, Vicky recalled the time when he was about to be beaten up by the sand mafia while working in Gangs of Wasseypur. He said- The coal smuggling shown in the film was real. We shot it at a real location.

One incident happened when we went to shoot illegal sand mining. I was surprised to see all this. For the first time I realized that this illegal business also happens openly.

We were shooting all this secretly, when some people came to us. When I looked carefully, there were about 500 people around us. Our camera attendant was an old man, who was more than 50 years old. That man called the unit and said that the camera will not be able to come on time because we are stuck here. Listening to him on the phone, a person present there thought that he was calling some influential person.

Without knowing the truth, the man slapped the cameraman and snatched the camera. He also threatened us that he would break the camera. Both of us were about to be beaten up, but we somehow escaped from there.

Let us tell you, Vicky Kaushal is in the news these days because of the film Bad News. This film, which was released on July 19, has so far earned 31.30 crores worldwide.

Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk are also in this film along with Vicky. This film is a sequel to the 2019 film Good News.
