Varun Dhawan has announced his entry in 'Border 2', which is a sequel to the 1997 superhit film 'Border'. After Ayushmann Khurrana's exit from the film, Varun has now become a part of this big film.

The actor himself has confirmed this news on Instagram. He shared a teaser of the film and wrote in the caption- 'When I was in the fourth class, I saw Border in Chandan Cinema. This film had a deep impact on me.

Even today I remember the feeling of pride that we all felt in the theatre. From that day onwards, I started respecting our soldiers and even today I salute them, whether they are at the border or in keeping us safe in times of trouble.

Varun further wrote, 'JP Dutta Sir's Border is still one of my favourite films. Being a part of Border 2, which is being made by JP Sir and Bhushan Kumar, is a very special moment in my career. Working with Sunny Paaji is even more special for me. I hope for your blessings to bring the story of a brave soldier to the big screen. This is going to be India's biggest war film. Jai Hind.'

Let us tell you that Sunny Deol had announced 'Border 2' in June this year. He had said, 'A soldier is coming back to fulfill his 27-year-old promise. India's biggest war film, Border 2.'

'Border 2' is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. It will be directed by Anurag Singh, who previously directed Akshay Kumar's film 'Kesari'.
