In the last 24 hours, new cases of forest fires have been reported in 31 places in the state of Uttarakhand. According to Additional Chief Conservator of Forests Nishant Verma, 29 forest fires have occurred in reserve forests and 29 in urban or forest panchayats in the last 24 hours. A total of 33.34 hectares of forest has been affected. However, there was no loss of life anywhere. Forests in Tehri, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts of Garhwal division continue to burn. The fire is spreading rapidly as it is mostly a pine forest. Forest personnel are making efforts to douse the fire. When a fire is extinguished in one place, it flares up in another. A large amount of forest resources have been damaged in the fire. A forest fire has broken out again in Chamoli district. On Friday, there were incidents of forest fire at five different places in the district. The fire in the pine forest suddenly turned wild. On receiving the information, the Gopeshwar fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control after tireless efforts. A fire broke out in the Deokhal forest in the afternoon. Soon the fire spread to a large area of ​​the forest.
