First of all know who is Nancy Tyagi
Gajend Tyagi, resident of Barnawa, is a mechanic, transporter and farmer. He has a small shop in the market. Gajendra runs the house by running it. Gajendra has his wife Maya, daughter Nancy and son Manu. Son and daughter studied in the village school, after which the daughter went to Delhi to prepare for UPSC.

Corona arrived some time after Nancy went to Delhi. Everything stopped due to lockdown. Then Nancy took her mother's old sewing machine and started stitching her clothes. While preparing her clothes, Nancy suddenly shared a video on social media and it went viral.

After this, Nancy kept uploading dress design videos and everyone liked her art and she became an influencer.

Daughter had gone to Delhi to prepare for UPSC
Nancy's father Gajendra Tyagi told in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar – Nancy studied till Intermediate from Harra Inter College, Meerut. After that, in the year 2020, Nancy Tyagi and brother Manu Tyagi started studying in Delhi with their mother.

Along with her studies, Nancy Tyagi started doing fashion designing in Delhi and she sews clothes at home after seeing the clothes of big fashion designers. After that she makes reels in those clothes. With his help she started gaining recognition across the world.

Cannes invitation came 4 months ago
Nancy's younger brother Manu helps her completely. Manu told Dainik Bhaskar his entire journey to Cannes. Manu told- 4 months ago, Nancy had received an invitation to Cannes through Brut. We were told that you have to go to France for the Cannes Film Festival. Get ready. We couldn't believe that we would get such a big chance through social media.

Wore her own designed outfit on the red carpet
Nancy has dominated Cannes due to both her beauty and gown. Bhai Manu told – When we came to know about going to Cannes, we thought that we will not showcase clothes made by others there. Nancy decided that because she had reached this show because of designing, she would wear only the gown prepared by her. After this both of us together started thinking about outfit designing.

This red carpet gown was completed in one month and was stitched by Nancy herself.

20 kg gown made from 1000 meter fabric for Cannes Festival
Nancy specially designed a baby pink rose colored frill gown for the red carpet main show. The three piece gown is made of net fabric. Bought entire 1100 meter net fabric for gown from wholesale market of Delhi. Out of this, the gown has been made from 1000 meters of cloth. Its weight is 20 kg. Gown is in three piece main gown, gloves and tail.

Manu told – Nancy herself designed this gown by working day and night for a month and stitched it with a machine at home. She had decided that she would showcase only the gown she had made. Apart from net, the gown has motifs work. Mom and dad have also given full support in this work.

Made 4 dresses for the show
Nancy prepared a total of 4 dresses for the Cannes Festival. The main dress was a pink gown which she showcased on the red carpet. Apart from this, there are 3 more dresses which have been revealed in the show. As difficult as it was for Nancy to prepare this gown, it was equally difficult to transport it from India to France.

To pack the 20 kg gown, three big container bags had to be specially prepared so that the gown could be easily kept in it. For this, separate baggage booking has to be done.

I didn't have such a big dream
While talking to the paparazzi in Cannes in Hindi, Nancy said – Her dream was not so big that where she is standing today. She made a gown for herself using one thousand meters of cloth in just one month. My journey was difficult, but every moment was precious.

I used to sew dolls' clothes in my childhood.
Nancy's mother Maya told – Nancy used to make clothes for her dolls in her childhood. She used to make new clothes every day. At that time we did not know that she would become a designer in future. First of all, she shared a video of making saree lehenga which was liked a lot. After this she is continuously uploading videos.

100 days outfit challenge
Nancy has run a 100 days outfit challenge on social media. In this she has completed 90 dresses. She herself sketches a new dress every day. Then she brings cloth from the market, stitches it and showcases it.
