Union Ministers including Prime Minister Shahbaz will not take salary leader









Islamabad; News Agency: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has refused to take his salary as Prime Minister. Eighteen days ago, President Asif Ali Zardari had also decided not to take salary. After this decision of the President and Prime Minister, other Union Ministers of Pakistan have also announced not to take their salaries

The salary of the Prime Minister of Pakistan is two lakh rupees per month and the salary of the President is around 8 lakh 46 thousand Pakistani rupees per month. In view of the financial condition of the country, in order not to burden the financial management and national revenue, all have decided not to take salary as above. Pakistan has only enough foreign exchange reserves ($8 billion) to cover imports for one and a half months. This is about one and a half month's worth of imports. Currently, one dollar is worth 276 Pakistani rupees. According to another decision, henceforth no red carpet will be used in any government event in Pakistan. Now the red carpet will be laid only to welcome foreign guests.
