Leaders Online Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the country's first underwater metro today (6th) in Kolkata. After reaching West Bengal, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate this state-of-the-art metro rail service to the countrymen in a program.
Kolkata's underwater metro is built under the river Hooghly. A few days ago Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav reviewed Kolkata Metro Rail services. The Prime Minister will dedicate the fully-ready underwater metro rail to the nation on Wednesday. (Underwater Metro)
Maharashtra will also get gift of development projects
Apart from the underwater metro, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kavi Subhash-Hemant Mukhopadhyay metro section and the Taratla-Majerhat metro section. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate many major metro and rapid transit projects across the country. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the first phase of the expansion of the Pune Metro Rail Project between Pimpri Chinchwad Metro-Nigdi. (Underwater Metro)
