Yusuf Pathan will contest election against Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary of Congress
Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) has announced the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections for all 42 seats in West Bengal. In this, India's legendary former cricketer Yusuf Pathan has been announced as the candidate of TMC from Bahrampur Lok Sabha constituency. Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary is contesting from Bahrampur. This time, Adhir Ranjan will face Bahrampur's Yusuf Pathan. TMC has re-nominated Mahua Moitra from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha constituency of Bengal. Jagdish Chandra Basunia has been nominated from Cooch Behar Lok Sabha constituency. (TMC Yusuf Pathan)
Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee announced the list of Trinamool Congress candidates for 42 Lok Sabha seats. Also, Shatrughan Sinha has been nominated for the Lok Sabha constituency from Asansol.
Mamata Banerjee had already made it clear that the Trinamool Congress will contest the elections on its own in West Bengal. Now he announced that he will contest elections in Assam and Meghalaya as well. He also said that the discussion of contesting elections on one seat in alliance with Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party is going on.
