Tirumala; News Agency: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthan, the richest temple in the world, has made an FD of Rs 1,161 crore this year. This is the highest in the last 12 years, making it the first Hindu temple to deposit Rs 500 crore or more as FD in a consecutive 12 year period. The total FDs of trusts in banks have reached Rs 13,287 crore. With fixed deposits in various banks and cash in trusts, the balance of the temple has reached Rs 18 thousand 817 crores.
