Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who are in jail on charges of firing at Salman Khan's house, are afraid of their murder.
The families of both the accused have demanded protection from the Maharashtra and Bihar governments. They claim that a conspiracy is being hatched to kill Vicky and Sagar by the henchmen of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
On April 14 this year, there was firing at Salman Khan's house in Bandra area of Mumbai.
After the attack, both the accused were seen in the CCTV installed outside Salman's house.
After the attack, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde went to Salman's house and met him.
Brothers of both shooters wrote a letter
Now Sonu Gupta, brother of shooter Vicky Gupta and Rahul Pal, brother of shooter Sagar Pal have written a letter to the government. Both of them are residents of Majharia in West Champaran, Bihar.
Both the accused are currently lodged in Taloja Central Jail in Mumbai. It is being said that before writing the letter, the brothers of both the accused had met them in jail. During this meeting, the accused had told them that the henchmen of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim were plotting to kill them.

Will face the same fate as co-accused Anuj Thapan
The letter alleges that both the accused will suffer the same fate as their co-accused Anuj Thapan. Anuj died in police custody in May. According to media reports, he hanged himself in jail.
The accused received threats from D Company
Jailed accused Vicky Gupta's lawyer also spoke to ANI on the matter. He said, 'Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal have given an application to the authorities for protection of their lives.
They say that they are being threatened by D Company. The accused have informed their families about this.
After this incident, Salman Khan's security was increased.

The lawyer further said, 'The accused (Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal) allege that Salman Khan has connections with some gangster, perhaps he wants to kill the accused. We have written to the Central Government, Maharashtra and Bihar Government for their security.'
The accused were arrested from Gujarat
On April 14, two bike riders opened fire outside Salman Khan's house. After this incident, Mumbai Police arrested the shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal from Gujarat.
Anuj Thapan (32) was arrested along with another man in the case on April 26 from Punjab.
After the firing at Salman's house, gangster Lawrence's brother Anmol had taken the responsibility of the attack on Facebook.

Mumbai Crime Branch officials said that gangster Lawrence and his brother Anmol have been declared wanted accused in this case. Anmol had taken responsibility for the firing outside Salman's house by writing a post on Facebook after the attack.
When did Salman receive threats before this?
- In June 2022, when Salman's father Salim Khan returned home after going for a morning walk, he found an anonymous letter in which he and Salman were threatened with death. The letter read – 'Salman Khan will make you like Moosewala.' After this, Salim Khan contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and a case was registered in this regard at Bandra police station.
- Last year, Mumbai Police had arrested the person who had threatened to kill Salman over the phone. The person who had threatened was a 16-year-old minor. He had called Mumbai Police and told them his name was Rocky Bhai. He said that he is a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan and will kill Salman on 30 April.
- Last year itself, Dhakadram, a resident of Jodhpur, had sent 3 emails to Salman's official mail. It was written in it that Salman Khan, you are next, as soon as you come to Jodhpur, you will be killed like Sidhu Moosewala.
- In January 2024, two unknown people tried to enter Salman Khan's farmhouse by breaking the fencing wires. When the police caught them, both of them said that they were Salman's fans. Fake Aadhar cards were recovered from them. Due to this, an FIR has also been registered against both of them. Salman Khan is on the target of Lawrence gang.
