British rock band Coldplay is coming to India for the 'Music of the Spheres' world tour in January 2025. The booking window for the show opened on Sunday, but due to the Coldplay craze in India and the rush to book tickets, the Book My Show app crashed.

Many users have complained about problems in ticket booking on social media. Seeing the craze of concerts in India, Coldplay band has now announced to perform in India for 3 days instead of 2 days.

Coldplay band's concert is going to be held at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai on 19-20 January 2025. Booking for the show started on Book My Show app at 12 noon on Sunday. There was such a rush to book tickets that the Book My Show site crashed.

After some time, the site reopened, even then the user traffic was close to 10 lakhs. In such a situation, to prevent the app from crashing, the Book My Show app announced that users will be able to book tickets through the line system, a user will be able to book a maximum of 4 tickets at a time, whereas earlier this limit was 8 tickets.

Coldplay announces performance on third day

After seeing such craze of fans in India, on Sunday, Coldplay band announced that they will perform for 3 days instead of 2 in India. The dates for this were 19-20 and 21 January. The new dates have been announced from the official Instagram account of Coldplay. It is written in the post – Mumbai's third show has been added. New dates have been added in view of the huge demand.

After the announcement of the concert on 21 January 2025, the ticket window for the show opened on Book My Show at 2 pm on Sunday. For this, users had to select the 'Book Now' option at 1:30 pm, after which they were added to the waiting room.

When the ticket window went live at 2 pm, users were given bookings as per the waiting list. At this time, the app had a traffic of 14 lakh users. Due to the rush for tickets, many fans could not book tickets for the show, for which many memes are being circulated on social media.

Book My Show warns to avoid scams

Due to the huge demand for the show, ticket booking had started on many fake sites. As soon as this information was received, fans were warned through the official social media account of Book My Show.

Performance in India after nine years

The Coldplay band is returning to India after 9 years. The last time this band performed in India was in the year 2016 at the Golden Citizen Festival held in Mumbai. 80 thousand fans were a part of this show, including many Bollywood celebs.
