The textile festival 'Bharat Tex' concludes


New Delhi, Leading News Service: The Bharat Tex 2024 textile festival, which has been going on for the last 4 days in the capital Delhi, concluded today. The festival was organized on behalf of the Union Ministry of Textiles. A total of 28 stalls were set up in the Maharashtra Hall of Bharat Tex 2024. Maharashtra Dalna was themed keeping in mind the 350th year of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's coronation. Various government organizations and private organizations also participated in this. The festival was decorated to be eye-catching and attractive to the visitors. All the states and Union Territories including the state of Maharashtra participated in this festival.

In this festival, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation's tourism through textile industry, Khadi Village Industries Board's production of critical materials from waste (diaries, office files, bags, pens, show pieces etc.), also beekeeping business under Maharashtra State Khadi Village Industries Board, Women's Economic Development Corporation's decorative items, handlooms. Solapur sheets, towels as well as towels, napkins, textiles made from bamboo by the Corporation and Yantramag Corporation were noteworthy. Stalls from the Khadi Village Industries Board on beekeeping and making sustainable products from waste paper were eye-catching. Also in this festival, stalls were set up by Mavim along with traditional Paithani, Khan, Himru, Gongdi, Solapur chadar, Puneri turban, Tussar silk, Mulberry silk, Handloom sarees, Hats, Terry towels, Kolhapuri chappals, Paithani bags.

Through this festival, the products of the state get access to national and international markets. Various stall holders said that the expectations of the traders along with the customers are known, so these things are beneficial not only to increase the business but also to understand new things and technologies. Notably, the textile festival included knowledge-based sessions, seminars and conferences, activities that redefined the textile industry globally.

During the festival, Maharashtra Hall was inaugurated by Secretary of Textiles Department Virendra Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Khadi and Village Industries Board of the State, Smt.R. Vimala, Joint Chief Executive Officer of Maharashtra Industries Development Corporation, Ajay Bhandari and Joint Managing Director of Maharashtra Small Industries Development Corporation Smt Farog Mukadam were present. Exhibitors and consumers from 40 countries participated in the festival. More than 1000 exhibitors from 40 countries and more than 30000 artisans and entrepreneurs also participated in this.
