While the incident of the murder of Bharatnatyam dance practitioner Amarnath Ghosh in America is fresh, now the shocking incident of the suspicious death of two Indians in West Africa's Ivory Coast has come to light. The Indian Embassy has confirmed the incident and demanded a thorough investigation from the local authorities.

“Two Indian nationals have been found dead in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Local police are investigating the matter. The two Indian nationals found dead have been identified as Mrs. Santosh Goyal and Shri. Sanjay Goyal, it has happened. Our deepest condolences to the family. The embassy is providing all possible assistance to the family. We are coordinating with local authorities. This was stated by the embassy in a post on social media platform X.

Efforts to return the body to India

Santosh Goyal and Sanjay Goyal are actively coordinating with the local authorities to bring the bodies back to India. Our Embassy is fully committed to providing all possible assistance to the family at this time of grief. The embassy has also clarified that it is working closely with the local authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
