New Delhi, Leading News Service: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the preparations regarding the heat wave in the coming years. Essential medicines and related items were also reviewed during the heat wave.
Meanwhile, emphasis was laid on timely dissemination of necessary awareness through all platforms like television, radio and social media especially in regional languages. Emphasizing the government's approach, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that all units of government at the central, state and district levels and various ministries need to work together on this. Apart from adequate preparation in hospitals, the Prime Minister also emphasized on public awareness. He also highlighted the need for early detection and extinguishing of forest fires.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Home Secretary, India Meteorological Department and National Disaster Management Authority.
