According to police sources, Mohammad Tayyab is originally a resident of Bareilly, UP. Presently he lived with his uncle in Jyoti Nagar, Delhi. Father's name is Tahir. He does tailoring work in Bareilly. Police have confiscated the mobile phone of the accused. It is being verified.
Salman had Y plus category security. After the murder of Baba Siddiqui, one more layer was increased in Y Plus security.
Threat was given on 25th October
The message was received in Zeeshan Siddiqui's Bandra office on the evening of 25 October. In this, Salman Khan and Zeeshan were threatened with death if the ransom was not paid. An employee of Zeeshan had lodged an FIR with the police. After this the police identified Mohammad Tayyab as the person who made the threat.
Mumbai Police is investigating the house of the accused's uncle.
According to sources, a team of Mumbai Police is present at the accused's house in Delhi. After giving information to Jyoti Nagar police station, the house of the uncle of the accused is also being searched. The investigation so far has revealed that the accused has no connection with any gang.
Why did he threaten Salman Khan? The police have not yet received any concrete answer in this regard. During interrogation, he confessed to threatening Salman and Zeeshan.
The accused was arrested from Jharkhand in the Salman threat case.

2 cases in 6 months after which Salman's security was increased
12 October: Murder of Baba Siddiqui, close to Salman Salman Khan's close aide and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui had come out of his son Zeeshan's office. Then 6 bullets were fired at him. Two bullets hit Siddiqui's stomach and one on his chest. He was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared dead at 11.27 pm. Lawrence Gang took responsibility for this attack.

- April 2023: A 16 year old minor had called Mumbai Police and threatened to kill him. The police had detained him. He told Mumbai Police his name was Rocky Bhai. He had said that he is a resident of Jodhpur and will kill Salman on 30 April 2023.
- March 2023: Dhakadram, a resident of Jodhpur, had sent 3 e-mails to Salman's official mail. It was written in it that Salman Khan is your next number, you will be killed like Sidhu Moosewala as soon as you come to Jodhpur.
- June 2022: When Salman's father Salim Khan returned home from his morning walk, he received an unknown letter in which he and Salman were threatened with death. It was written in the letter – 'Salman Khan will make your condition like Moosewala.' After this, Salim Khan contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and a case was registered in this regard at Bandra police station.
Reason for Lawrence's enmity with Salman
- Salman is accused of hunting black buck in the forests of Rajasthan during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in 1998. Apart from Salman, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam Kothari were also accused.
