The NIA team will investigate the terrorist attack in Kashmir









Leader Online Desk: Militants in military uniform attacked a bus carrying devotees returning from Devdarshan in Kashmir's Reasi district on Sunday. 10 devotees were killed and 33 others were injured in the accident when the bus fell into the valley. The NIA team will investigate the terror attack. FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has also reached the spot. The Indian Army is also searching for terrorists from today (10th) morning.

The terrorists were sitting in the bush in army uniform

Some terrorists opened fire on a bus which was returning to Katra carrying devotees returning from Shivkhoda temple near Teriyath village near Poni. The terrorists who attacked the devotees were in army uniform. The driver of the bus lost control and the bus fell directly into the valley when the terrorists, who were hiding in the bushes on the winding narrow road, fired indiscriminately. In this accident, 10 people died on the spot, while 33 people were injured. As soon as the incident was reported, police, army and paramilitary forces reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations have been undertaken. Some of the injured have been rescued and shifted to hospital.

Use of drones to detect terrorists

Mohit Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Reasi, said that at a turn, two terrorists with their faces covered opened fire on the bus. This scared the driver and the bus fell into the valley. Dead bodies and injured were lying in the valley. Hearing the screams of the injured people rushed to the streets. As soon as some informed the police, the team entered. Police seized some empty cartridges. On the other hand, the security forces have launched an operation to find the terrorists and have cordoned off the entire surrounding area. The search operation continued till late night in this hilly and densely forested region. Search for terrorists is going on again from this morning. Drones are being used for searching in forest areas. The State Disaster Response Force has also reached the spot. The FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has also reached the spot where the bus was attacked by terrorists.
