The dismembered body parts of famous supermodel Abby Choi were found in a village house in Tai Po, 17 miles from Hong Kong. When the police entered the house, the floor was covered in body parts and blood, making it difficult to even stand. The smell of decay was all over the house.

Then the police saw a horrific scene that shocked everyone. Body parts were cooked in large stainless steel vessels. When a vessel full of soup was examined, it contained Abby Choi's head.

Later, when the refrigerator of the house was opened, legs and ribs were found in it. The blood had clotted, but the flesh was fresh. Whereas there was no trace of the torso and hands. Due to not finding the entire body parts, AB's last rites had to wait for 4 months. Whereas his torso and hands could not be found even today.

Abby Choi was born in 1994 in an ordinary family in Hong Kong. Her real name was Choi Tin Fung, which was changed after entering the world of modeling. Abby was inclined towards the glamorous world since childhood. In her teens, she started showing her talent to the world through social media. With time, the number of her followers started increasing. Choi, who looks like a doll, got millions of followers over time.

Choi started making her mark in Hong Kong as an influencer through her beauty and creativity. As her popularity grew, she started getting modelling offers as well. With her beauty, Abby achieved great heights in the world of modelling in just a few years. She was featured on the covers of Paris Fashion Week and famous international magazines like Elle, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.

With increasing success, Abby's fame also started increasing. She had acquired huge properties in many posh areas of Hong Kong. At the age of 18, Abby was the owner of 100 Hong Kong million dollars (107 crores rupees).

18-year-old Abby married Alex Kwong in 2012. Abby gave birth to a daughter within a year of marriage, and two years later, a second daughter was born. After marriage, Abby had acquired several properties in the name of her in-laws.

Her in-laws were not financially strong, so Choi used to bear their expenses. She had hired her husband Alex's brother Antony as her driver. AB had bought a luxury apartment in Hong Kong's most famous area Kowloon Tong's Kadoor Hill in the name of her father-in-law Kwong Kao. The richest people of the city used to live in this area.

After three years of marriage, Choi met famous Hong Kong businessman Chris Tam Fong Chun, whose father was the owner of the famous restaurant Chan Tamjai Yunnan Mixian.

After a few months of relationship, Abby Choi divorced her husband Alex Kwong and married Chris Tam Fong Chun. After the divorce, Abby gained custody of both children, who mostly lived with their mother.

Even after the divorce, she had a good relationship with her first husband Alex Kwong. She often met her first husband and his family, while her brother-in-law Anthony continued to work with her as a driver. On most occasions, AB used to be accompanied by her driver Anthony.

Abby Choi had gone out to pick up her daughter from school. Time passed, but Abby did not reach school, nor was there any news of her. The family suspected that she might have been kidnapped. When the Hong Kong police started investigating, they found a CCTV footage in which Abby, dressed in white, was seen waiting for the driver.

After scanning the CCTV footage, the police found a footage of driver Antony, in which he was seen carrying some heavy items in a white plastic bag. The police arrested Antony after finding the situation suspicious. Antony was in constant touch with his parents and AB's former in-laws, so they were also taken into custody.

Just as the three arrests were made, the police received a tip-off from informers that Abby's ex-husband Alex Kwong had tried to flee Hong Kong by sea. The police smartly arrested Alex.

Everyone was shocked to hear the revelations that came out after Alex's arrest. The mastermind of this murder was AB Choi's father-in-law Kwong Kao, who had planned the murder months in advance. In February 2023 itself, he had rented a house 17 miles away from Kowloon Tong.

On his instructions, driver Antony picked up AB and took him to Kowloon Tong, where he killed her in the car itself. After the murder, Antony put her body in a white plastic bag and took it home. This incident was also captured in CCTV footage.

After the murder, he took AB's dead body to the triple storey house where his body was cut into pieces. Three other accused were present in the house. With the help of meat cutter and electric cutter, the four accused together cut AB Choi's body into several pieces. After cutting each part of the body into small pieces, they started cooking several organs, while the remaining organs were put in the fridge to prevent them from decomposing. His legs were kept intact in the fridge.

According to the South China Morning Post, in the initial investigation, AB Choi's skull was not found, however, a detailed investigation revealed that her skull had been cooked with soup. Several different weapons were used by the men to cut the body, which were hidden in different locations in the village.

Within just a week of the murder, on February 27, Hong Kong police filed murder charges against all the accused. Currently, this case is in court.

Why was AB Choi murdered?

AB Choi bought a luxury apartment in Kowloon Tong in the year 2019. The cost of this apartment was 70 million Hong Kong dollars, for which AB took it in the name of his father-in-law Kwong Kao to get relief in stamp duty.

A few months before her death, Abby wanted to sell this apartment, for which she was getting it registered in her name. Quong Cao's family used to live in this house, so they were unhappy with her decision to sell the house. When Abby started making a deal for the house, Quong Cao along with his family conspired to kill her to stop her.

The murder of Abby Choi and the brutality done to her body made this case famous all over the world. After her death, her four children are being raised by her second husband Chris Tam.
