A new update has emerged in the Salman Khan firing case. The Navi Mumbai Police, which is investigating this case, has filed a 1736-page charge sheet under MCOCA. This charge sheet has been filed against 5 arrested accused including Lawrence Bishnoi and 3 wanted persons.
On April 14, two bike-borne men opened fire at Salman's house Galaxy Apartment. Based on the charge sheet filed, it has come to light that the two bike-borne accused did not come with the intention of killing Salman. They just wanted to create fear among the people.
By firing at Salman's house, they also wanted to create fear in the film industry so that they could extort money in the absence of other gangs in the city. The accused had also conducted a recce of another megastar's house.
The charge sheet also gives a brief summary against Anuj Thapan, who committed suicide in police custody on May 1.
Actor claims- Lawrence gang only wants to extort money
Salman Khan's statement has also been detailed in this charge sheet. In the firing incident, Salman has said that he and his family are being falsely targeted. He has not done anything wrong. The actor said that all these things are being done to extort money from him. He also mentioned the threats he had received earlier.
4 accused were arrested on 24 April
On April 14, there was firing at Salman's house Galaxy Apartment. On April 24, Navi Mumbai Police arrested four people of Lawrence gang, who were planning to attack Salman's car in Panvel. These accused were identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nhai, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Zeeshan Khan alias Javed Khan. The fifth accused in the case was arrested by the police from Haryana on June 3.
Police have registered an FIR in this case against a total of 18 people including Lawrence, his brother Anmol, Goldie Brar.
The police had revealed this matter by holding a press conference on June 1.
Police had obtained information by connecting to Lawrence's social media group
While addressing a press conference on this matter on June 1, Panvel Zone 2 DCP Vivek Pansare had said- We had received some information about the planning of Salman Khan's murder. After gathering a lot of information, we got added to the social media group associated with Lawrence and after joining the group, we kept collecting information from there.
Then on 24 April we arrested 4 people. Chikna shooter was arrested from Bengaluru. The search for 10-12 accused is still on in the case.
They had also conducted a recce of the actor's farm house and several shooting spots including Goregaon Film City. The police have recovered several such videos from their mobile phones. Several phones and SIM cards have also been recovered.

AK-47 was ordered from Pakistan through video call
These four had done a recce of Salman's house and farmhouse. Out of these, Ajay Kashyap had contacted a person named Dogar living in Pakistan through video call. He was going to get AK-47 from there to attack Salman.
The accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal's daughter
According to the police, all the arrested accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal's daughter. The police have also suspected that the five could have used their followers on social media to carry out this murder.
Ajay Kashyap is the one who played the role of co-ordinator among all the accused. Ajay was also involved in arms smuggling. The angle related to Pakistan is also being investigated.

He would have got Salman attacked through a minor and then fled to Sri Lanka
Apart from this, the police had also received information that around 60 to 70 henchmen of Lawrence and Sampat Nehra gang coming from Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Gujarat are keeping an eye on Salman Khan.
They were planning to attack Salman through minors. After the attack, their plan was to flee from Kanyakumari to Sri Lanka via boat.
There was firing at the apartment on April 14
Earlier on April 14, firing was done in front of Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra at 5 am. The attackers who came on two bikes fired 5 rounds.
Salman was in his house at the time of the firing. After the incident, security was increased outside Salman's house.
Both attackers were seen in CCTV while firing.
After the firing at Salman's house, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had come to meet him. Shinde had also met Salman's father Salim Khan.
Anmol had taken responsibility for the incident
Lawrence's brother Anmol took responsibility for the incident on social media on the same day of the incident. Two days after the attack, both the attackers were arrested from Gujarat.
The Mumbai Crime Branch had arrested both the accused in the case, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, from Gujarat.
During interrogation of the shooters, both of them had confessed to getting the contract for this work from Lawrence gang. Mumbai Crime Branch has made Lawrence and Anmol accused in this case and now it is preparing to question Lawrence. Lawrence is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.
When did Salman receive threats before this?
- In June 2022, when Salman's father Salim Khan returned home after going for a morning walk, he found an anonymous letter in which he and Salman were threatened with death. The letter read – 'Salman Khan will make you like Moosewala.' After this, Salim Khan contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and a case was registered in this regard at Bandra police station.
- Last year, Mumbai Police had arrested the person who had threatened to kill Salman over the phone. The person who had threatened was a 16-year-old minor. He had called Mumbai Police and told them his name was Rocky Bhai. He said that he is a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan and will kill Salman on 30 April.
- Last year itself, Dhakadram, a resident of Jodhpur, had sent 3 emails to Salman's official mail. It was written in it that Salman Khan, you are next, as soon as you come to Jodhpur, you will be killed like Sidhu Moosewala.
- In January 2024, two unknown people tried to enter Salman Khan's farmhouse by breaking the fencing wires. When the police caught them, both of them said that they were Salman's fans. Fake Aadhar cards were recovered from them. Due to this, an FIR has also been registered against both of them. Salman Khan is on the target of Lawrence gang.
