Tesla wants to invest heavily in EV production
Elon Musk wants to invest 2 to 3 billion dollars in electronic vehicle manufacturing in India. Speculation about Tesla's entry began after the Indian government's new EV policy came into force. In the new policy, the government has given exemptions to companies investing in manufacturing in the country. The government has also clarified that this will not only increase the industrial production in the country but also create new jobs.

ANI quoting sources claimed that Maharashtra and Gujarat have made special offers to Tesla on land to set up factories in their respective states. Apart from this, the Telangana government is in serious discussions to bring an EV manufacturing plant here.
