Heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the last several days have caused floods in many districts. In this tragedy, 12 Telugu actors have extended a helping hand.
While Pawan Kalyan donated Rs 6 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of both the states, celebs like Jr NTR, Allu Arjan and Ram Charan have tried to help the flood victims by donating Rs 1 crore.
Pawan Kalyan – Rs 6 crore
Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and actor Pawan Kalyan donated 6 crores to help the flood victims. He donated one crore (total 2 crores) to the Chief Minister Relief Fund of both Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) and 1 lakh (total 4 crores) to 400 panchayats in Andhra Pradesh.
Prabhas – Rs 2 crore
Prabhas has promised to donate Rs 1 crore each (total Rs 2 crore) to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to help the flood victims. The actor's spokesperson has given this information on his Instagram handle and said that the actor wants to stand with the victims in this difficult time.
Chiranjeevi – Rs 1 crore
After donating 1 crore to help the landslide victims in Wayanad, Kerala along with son Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi has now come forward to help the flood victims. He has promised to donate 50 lakhs (total 1 crore) to the Chief Minister's Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
He said, 'I am deeply saddened by the hardships faced by people due to floods in Telugu states. The loss is heartbreaking.'
Ram Charan – Rs 1 crore
Ram Charan said, 'This is the time to help the people of Telugu states due to rain and floods. I pray to God that people get out of this situation soon.'
Let us tell you, like his father, Ram Charan also promised to donate Rs 50 lakh (total ₹ 1 crore) to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of both the states.
Allu Arjun – Rs 1 crore
Allu Arjun has donated Rs 1 crore for the flood victims. He has said, 'I am saddened by the loss and suffering caused by the devastating rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Praying for everyone's safety.'
Jr NTR- Rs 1 Crore
Junior NTR has also donated 1 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. He has donated 50 lakhs to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund and 50 lakhs to the Telangana Relief Fund. Junior NTR mentioned this on the social media platform X.
He wrote, 'I am extremely worried about the floods and heavy rains in both the states. I pray to God that he gives people the strength to overcome this tragedy soon. I have tried to do something from my side for relief in both the states.'
Mahesh Babu – Rs 1 crore
Mahesh Baba has donated Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He has also requested others to help.
He wrote, 'Let us help the flood affected areas and give our support.'
Nagarjuna – Rs 1 crore
Nagarjuna has donated Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He has said, 'It is important that we help the government in this. Also, we should face this challenge boldly.
Apart from these celebs, actor and politician Balakrishna has also donated Rs 1 crore for the flood victims. Sai Dharam Teja has donated Rs 25 lakh, Siddu Jonnalagadda has donated Rs 30 lakh and Varun Tej has donated Rs 15 lakh.
