Leader Online Desk: The layoff season from tech giants doesn't seem to be stopping. Within Google and Microsoft, the two biggest companies have nearly a thousand in their different divisions Employees were fired is Google has shown the way home to 100 employees in its cloud division, on the other hand, Microsoft has taken 1000 employee resignations (Tech layoffs 2024).
According to the information provided by CNBC, Google has reduced the number of employees in the sales and engineering department from its Google Cloud division. The number of reduced employees is said to be 100. Google has cut staff from various offices around the world in 2024. This employee reduction (Tech layoffs 2024) is being done as Google's role is to focus more on the tasks that are very important for investment and business.
On the other hand, Microsoft has cut one thousand employees from the mixed reality department. This includes (Tech layoffs 2024) employees of the Holo Lens 2 division.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai had earlier sent an email to employees. It said that by mid-2024 the workforce cuts would be under control, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
