Last month (18 May), 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Gurcharan Singh returned home. He was missing since 22 April. According to the actor's father Hargit Singh, he is happy with Gurcharan's return; but also worried. He also told that Guru does not keep a mobile with him.
Gurcharan Singh is famous for playing the role of 'Sodhi' in the TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma'.
Seeing my son safe and sound, my health has also improved a lot
In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Hargeet Singh said, 'I and Guru's mother are very happy that he has returned home. Seeing my son safe and sound, my health has also improved a lot. But, I am a little worried about my son's health. The day Guru returned home, he was very weak. He is currently undergoing treatment. The speed of his recovery is a little slow. It is troublesome to see this. He is undergoing regular checkups. By the way, Guru assures us every day that he will recover as soon as possible. We are also waiting for that day.'
Did not talk about his spiritual journey
According to Delhi Police, Gurcharan Singh told during interrogation that he had gone on a spiritual journey. If Hargeet Singh is to be believed, Guru has not spoken to him about this. He said, 'Actually, he talks to his mother more than me. He has not spoken to me about his spiritual journey. To be honest, I also did not question him much. Seeing my son in front of my eyes, I am feeling very satisfied. Nothing can be bigger than this at this time.'
Gurucharan left the show during the lockdown in 2020 to take care of his father.
May be Guruji is still with us
Let us tell you, Gurucharan spends most of his time in Mumbai for his work. His parents live in Delhi. So will Gurucharan return to Mumbai again? Hargeet Singh says about this, 'Guru's mother also asked him this question. But Guru also does not have an answer to this. He has not yet taken any decision about what he wants to do next. We both are old, so it is possible that he may stay with us now. We only want to see our son happy and healthy.'
Gurcharan Singh does not keep a mobile phone with him
During the conversation, Hargeet Singh told that Gurcharan Singh does not keep a mobile phone with him. He has also switched off his number for a few days.
Gurcharan Singh left his home in Delhi for Mumbai on 22 April; but did not reach the airport nor return home. After this, Delhi Police registered a kidnapping case and started investigation.
Police had said that Gurucharan was facing financial problems.
Gurucharan was struggling with financial crisis
Initial investigation revealed that Gurcharan was going to get married soon. Not only this, he was also facing financial crisis. Police said that Gurcharan had withdrawn 7 thousand rupees from ATM on April 22, after which his phone was switched off. His last location was found just a few kilometers away from his house in Palam, Delhi.
He left the show in 2013 due to some dispute with producer Asit Modi.

However, on public demand, the producers had to bring him back to the show. After making a comeback, he did this show for 6 years. After this, Gurucharan left the show in 2020 to take care of his father during the lockdown.
At the same time, Gurcharan Singh had told the police that in three weeks he had visited gurudwaras in many cities including Amritsar, Ludhiana. Later he realised that he should return home, so he returned.
