On Monday, the Kerala government released the report of Justice K. Hema Commission. This 295-page report mentions serious issues like casting couch and sexual harassment going on in the Malayalam film industry.
Now actress Tanushree Dutta has given her opinion on this report and called it useless. She said- I do not understand these committees and reports. I think they are useless.
Tanushree said- the accused should be arrested and a strong law should be brought
Tanushree further referred to the Vishaka Committee, whose aim is to prevent things like sexual harassment at the workplace. The actress said – What is the meaning of this new report? They just had to arrest the accused and implement a strong law and order. I remember the Vishaka Committee, which came up with a lot of guidelines and prepared a page-by-page report. But what happened after that? The names of the committees keep changing.
Nana Patekar was called a psychopath
Tanushree says- People like Nana (Nana Patekar) are psychopaths. There is no cure for them. Only evil people can do what he has done. I don't care about these committees. I don't even trust this system.
It seems that with these reports and committees, people are just wasting our time instead of doing the right thing. Having a safe workplace is a basic right for any woman or any person.
In 2018, Tanushree had accused Nana of sexual harassment
In 2018, Tanushree had accused Nana Patekar, dance choreographer Ganesh Acharya and director Vivek Agnihotri of sexual harassment under the MeToo movement. Tanushree said that actor Nana Patekar had tried to sexually harass her.
Tanushree also said that even when only she was shooting, Nana Patekar was present on the set. After this allegation of Tanushree, an FIR was also filed against Nana Patekar.
