Leaders Online Desk: The 39th match of T20 World Cup 2024 was played between New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The match was played at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad. New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has set an amazing world record in this match.

New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson created history with his powerful bowling on Monday (17). In T20 World Cup-2024, the New Zealand team could not make it to the Super-8. In the last match, this team faced Papua New Guinea. Ferguson's bowling against this team has become historic.

The first bowler to achieve such a feat

In this match, Ferguson conceded no runs in his quota of four overs and took three wickets. He has become the best bowler in the T20 World Cup. This is the second time a bowler has taken a wicket in four overs in T20 Internationals. Canada's Saad Bin Zafar did this before Ferguson. He took two wickets without conceding a run in four overs.

Ferguson became the world record holder

Lukey Ferguson spelled 4-4-0-3 in today's match. In this he sent Papua New Guinea's Chad Soper (1 run), Charles Amini (17 runs) and captain Asad Wala (6 runs) to the tent. Ferguson became the first bowler to achieve such a feat in the Twenty20 World Cup. This became the most economical bowling in the history of the World Cup tournament. He became the second bowler after Canada's Saad bin Jaffer (vs Panama, 2021) to take all four overs in a Twenty20 International.
