Leader Online Desk: The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Delhi Police on the bail application of Bibhav Kumar, an accused in the Swati Maliwal assault case. Bibhav Kumar is a former personal assistant of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The Delhi High Court has sought a reply from the Delhi Police on the bail plea filed by Bibhav Kumar in the Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal attack case. His two bail applications have been rejected by the trial court.
A vacation bench comprising Justice Amit Sharma issued a notice to the Delhi Police on Kumar's bail plea. Delhi Police has been asked to show the status of the investigation. Senior Advocate N. Hariharan defended Bibhav Kumar. Senior advocate Sanjay Jain appeared in the hearing on behalf of Delhi Police.

Bibhav Kumar's bail application was rejected by the Delhi Sessions Court on May 27. His second regular bail plea was rejected by the sessions court on June 07. The bail petition was filed through advocates Karan Sharma and Rajat Bhardwaj.
