Today in Unheard Tales, we are going to tell you the horrific story of the murder of Gurugram model Divya Pahuja, which created a sensation in the entire Delhi-NCR and Haryana. Divya, who was a part of the glamor world, had illicit relations with gangster Sandeep Gadoli. After Gadoli was killed in the encounter, Divya developed a relationship with Abhijeet, the owner of Hotel City Point in Gurugram.
However, no one had any idea that this relationship would take a sinister turn, the strings of which would be woven with a web of blackmailing, homosexuality and conspiracies.
On January 1, 2024, Divya left home to celebrate the New Year, but did not return. The search for the family ended at room number 111 of a hotel, where he was murdered. After the murderers were caught, Divya's body was found in a decomposed condition in a canal.

Divya lived with her parents and sister Naina in Baldev Nagar, Gurugram. Beautiful Divya initially worked in an IT company and then reached Mumbai to try her hand in modeling. After doing a few small modeling projects, when it became difficult for her to survive in Mumbai, she returned to Gurugram.
One day while doing some small shows, Divya met Sandeep Gadoli who was a notorious gangster. Sandeep's father was a sub inspector in Haryana Police. With time, Sandeep made such a name in the criminal world by his hooliganism and murders in entire Haryana that he started getting extortion money from entire South Haryana and Delhi.

He lived his life of luxury in filmy style. Impressed by his lifestyle, Divya started liking him. After just a few meetings, 21 year old Divya got into a relationship with the gangster.
Divya first came into limelight when her boyfriend and gangster Sandeep Gadoli had an encounter in Mumbai on 7 February 2016.
Gangster Sandeep's fake encounter took place on Divya's behest
After coming into the relationship, Divya and Sandeep were living in a live-in relationship, but with time their relationship started turning sour. Both of them had fierce fights, due to which they separated within a few months.
On the other hand, Haryana Police was searching for Sandeep. He targeted Divya to reach Sandeep. There were also reports that when Sandeep's encounter took place at the Airport Metro Hotel in Mumbai, Divya was with him. It was he who had informed the police about Sandeep being in the hotel.
Sandeep's encounter remained controversial due to many reasons. Haryana Police claimed that when Sandeep was pressurizing him to surrender, he attacked the police and in the retaliatory attack he was killed by three bullets. Whereas Mumbai Police investigation found that Sandeep was unarmed at the time of the encounter. This encounter was fake.
There were reports that Haryana Police had carried out this under pressure from the underworld. As a result, the policemen and Inspector Pradyuman Yadav involved in the encounter were arrested.

Divya was also arrested for her involvement in this case. If the charges were proved, he was sentenced to 7 years' imprisonment. Divya came out on bail in June 2023.
Had illicit relations with a hotelier 30 years older
After coming out of jail in 2016, Divya Pahuja met Abhijeet Singh, 30 years her senior, in June 2023. Abhijeet was wealthy, married and the owner of City Point Hotel in Gurugram. After meeting Abhijeet, once again Divya Pahuja's life had become luxury. He often gave her expensive gifts, which included an iPhone. Many times Divya had also taken money from Abhijeet. Both of them used to meet often at Abhijeet's South Extension house and hotel in Gurugram. Abhijeet always kept room number 114 of his hotel City Point booked for himself. Whenever both of them came to the hotel, they used to stay in the same room.

Divya used to blackmail Abhijeet through private pictures
Within a few months, their relationship started taking a terrible turn. Divya had many private photos of Abhijeet, through which she often threatened that if Abhijeet did not fulfill her demands, she would send all his photos to his family.
If the news of Abhijeet's extra marital affair and his private pictures had reached his family, his life could have been spoiled. Due to this fear, he often gave the desired amount to Divya, but with time this trend became beyond his tolerance.
Abhijeet requested Divya several times not to threaten him, because he would not be able to give more money, but this time Divya's demand was Rs 30 lakh.
New Year's celebration, which became the cause of death

Divya Pahuja had gone to Abhijeet's house located in J-1, Phase-1 of South Extension to celebrate the New Year. Abhijeet's friends Balraj, Ravi Banga, Pravesh and Medha were also present at the New Year party. Everyone partied till late night and then Medha left from there.
After Medha left, Divya again started talking about money. Abhijeet thought it better to take Divya away from home so that nothing gets revealed to her friends. Abhijeet, Balraj and Divya left home for the hotel at 3.15 pm in their Mini Cooper.
All three reached the hotel at around 4 o'clock. When the keys of his favorite room number 114 were not found at the reception, after waiting for some time he got room number 111 opened. Abhijeet and Divya go into the room, while Balraj returns.
Next day at around 6 pm, Abhijeet left that room. He was completely drunk. He first got his hotel staff Hemraj and Omprakash to open room number 114 and then came to the reception and said that there was a dead body in the room upstairs. Murder was committed at his hands.
He told the staff to go and clean the room and saying this he left. The staff got scared after hearing that there was a dead body in the hotel. The staff first called Anuj, to whom Abhijeet had leased his hotel some time ago.
Anuj did not want to get into any kind of legal trouble, so he asked the staff to inform the police. When the police arrived late at night, the staff told that Abhijeet was in room number 114. When the police reached the room, they saw there was nothing there. No dead body and no clues. The police reprimanded the staff for wasting time and left from there.
After some time Abhijeet returned to the hotel again. This time his friends Balraj and Ravi Banga were also with him. After coming to the hotel, Abhijeet asked his staff to bring the body down and put it in the trunk of the BMW car. When the staff reached the first floor, they realized that the body was not in room number 114 but in room number 111. They wrapped the body in a sheet and kept it in Balraj's car. Balraj and Ravi leave with the dead body, while Abhijeet returns to his home.
Some time had passed when Divya's sister Naina started getting worried due to not being able to contact her. Divya always remained in touch with her sister. She used to tell her sister where she was going and with whom. On January 1, she had also told her sister that she was going to Abhijeet's house for the New Year party.
When Divya's sister contacted Abhijeet, he did not talk. When she reached Abhijeet's house in panic, Divya was not even there. Finally, Naina, worried for her sister, went straight to the police station. This time the police went straight to Gurugram's City Point Hotel for search.
The same hotel where the police had searched just a few hours ago. At first the hotel staff kept making up stories, but when the CCTV footage was extracted, the results were shocking.

The police first took out the CCTV footage of the reception to see whether Divya reached there or not. In the footage, Divya was seen going from the reception to room number 111. When the room was opened, the scene was heart-wrenching. There was blood on the floor and the room was in disarray. Immediately a forensic team was called and hotel staff Hemraj and Omprakash were arrested. On the other hand, Abhijeet was arrested from his South Extension house.

After his arrest, Abhijeet confessed to his crime. He told in his statement to the police that he was talking to Divya on the afternoon of January 2. Divya told them that she was gay and was interested in girls. She wants to meet a girl. On hearing this, Abhijeet called his friend Medha at 3:30 in the afternoon and called her to the hotel. Even before Medha could reach the hotel, Divya started demanding Rs 30 lakh.
The threat was the same, give the money otherwise I will send the private photos to the family.
Abhijeet tried hard to convince her, but she was adamant on her point. The discord between the two increased so much that Abhijeet, drunk and angry, lost his temper and shot him in the head. As soon as the bullet hit, Divya fell on the ground and blood spread on the floor.
After the murder, Abhijeet could not understand anything and remained sitting near the dead body in the room for a long time. After some time, he asked the hotel staff for cleaning, then called friends to dispose of the body.
Abhijeet's friends had thrown Divya's body in the Bhakra Canal of Sangrur on January 2, which could be found after 10 days of hard work. Abhijeet, his staff Hemraj, Omprakash, lawyer Balraj, PSO Pravesh, Ravi Banga and Medha were arrested in this case. At present this matter is in the court.
